Clik here to view.More smartphone owners this year claim to have some experience with a variety of mobile transaction types, according to results from a Harris Interactive survey. Some 46% say they have either used or seen someone firsthand use a mobile application that allows the redemption of offers at a retailer or restaurant, up from 40% in last year’s survey. Similarly, more have experience (either themselves or seeing someone firsthand) processing a payment by tapping a smartphone, rather than using cash or a payment card (23% vs. 18%). But fewer envision mobile payments replacing card or cash transactions anytime soon. (more…)
